Today, we bring the spotlight to Charlese Compartore — an ArrowStream Data Mapping Content Analyst with a love of Disney, performing arts, and her daughter Dylan. Charlese has over ten years of experience working in the foodservice industry and has been with ArrowStream for over four years.
Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
I was born and raised in the Bay Area in California, and I live here now. I am married, and I have a two-year-old daughter named Dylan. I am also a Disney fanatic. I love Disneyland.
What’s your favorite Disney movie?
That’s a tough question. I’m going to have to go with what’s popular right now and it’s probably Encanto. It’s really good.
What is data mapping content in layman’s terms?
On a day-to-day basis, we go through the information that is provided to us by the distributors and translate this data into something that is comprehensible for our customers.
What has been your most recent project?
A really big project for one of our distribution customers that went live last March had all of us at the edge of our seats. Another recent one was mapping data for a quick serve burger chain.
How did you get started in data mapping content?
It was kind of by accident. It wasn’t something that I was seeking out. I’ve done this for about ten years now and I started off doing it at another company and I really loved the challenge of it. I wasn’t looking for it. I just found a job doing it and wanted to continue.
What do you like most about ArrowStream?
The collaborative atmosphere. I really like feeling like everyone around me has each other’s backs and I respect that in a company. I think caring about their employees speaks greater volume than anything else.
Do you have a favorite food or restaurant?
My favorite type of food is Italian. I love pasta. As for restaurants, I can’t think of a particular favorite.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love to hang out with my daughter. She is at such a fun age right now. She is extremely funny, very outgoing, and a real social butterfly. I like to take her to the park and these fun indoor trampoline places and just watch her be the wonderful kid that she is.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I was into the performing arts for a while. When I was in my early twenties, I performed in some plays and musicals at a theatre in the East Bay every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a few months.
Do you have a favorite play?
I recently saw Hamilton which was absolutely fantastic.
Do you have a favorite actor?
Robert DeNiro.
Favorite Film?
Four Brothers with Mark Wahlberg.
Do you have any plans for the future that you’d be willing to share?
Nothing specific, I just want to continue to challenge myself and grow — personally and professionally.
