Today’s employee spotlight is on Marilyn Bottenbley - data integration specialist at ArrowStream. Marilyn has thirteen years of experience working in data management and joined the ArrowStream team in 2020.

How did you get into data integration?
 I have over 10 years of EDI and data monitoring work experience. This allowed me the opportunity to smoothly transition into data integration because of similar work details.

What made you want to work at ArrowStream?
The company’s vision, services, goals, and strategies for the restaurant industry. It is innovative and cutting-edge, and I wanted to be a part of that. As a bonus, the employee retention is very high.

What do you like about your work at ArrowStream in contrast to previous positions?

At ArrowStream, I am a member of an eight-person team. We worked together on a variety of projects from small to large scale. I really enjoyed the teamwork aspect of the job and seeing how all the pieces of our projects came together in the end. In my previous positions I worked independently.

What is your team like?

My team is amazing. We’re like an exclusive club even though we all have individual targets and goals. We ultimately unite towards a common understanding through our work on data integration and daily file monitoring. The part we play within the company guarantees our customer success.

What has your experience been with our company culture?

At ArrowStream, we have a collaborative environment. I see the best results when teams work together towards a common goal, and colleagues are supportive and encourage each other. I really appreciate these traits within the company.

What has been your favorite project at ArrowStream?

Less than 6 months on the job, I worked with our development team to create and implement the new monitoring process of the ArrowStream File Intake OnDemand platform. It was a new daily process, and my feedback was vital since I managed and maintained it, which gave me a sense of accomplishment.
